Kees Bouwmeester
Kees works within Aegis as an Of-Counsel Customs Specialist. He attended Inhouse training at the Dutch tax authorities and Customs.
Kees started his career in 1972 at the Dutch tax authorities/Customs. After 25 years, he continued his career as a tax adviser at Loyens & Loeff. Kees has been associated with Aegis as Of-Counsel since 2024.

Clients
Kees specialises broadly in customs, excise, motor vehicle taxation and environmental taxation. He has extensive experience in the classification of goods in the Harmonised System, customs economic regimes, determination of origin and customs value of goods, but he is also familiar with export controls, sanction measures and compliance.
Kees has furthermore experience in conducting (administrative) appeal proceedings at Customs, regional courts and tax courts, the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
He guides and assists clients with compliance issues and voluntary disclosure of customs and tax returns.
